How to Use Your Domain Email with Gmail

How to Use Your Domain Email with Gmail

You can set up your domain-based email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com) inside Gmail so that you can both receive emails (via POP3) and send emails (via Gmail’s “Send Mail As” feature).

Step 1: Add Your Domain Email to Gmail (POP3 for Receiving Emails)

  1. Sign in to your Gmail account.

  2. Click the gear icon (⚙) in the top-right → select See all settings.

  3. Open the Accounts and Import tab.

  4. Under Check mail from other accounts, click Add a mail account.

  5. Enter your full domain email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com) → click Next.

  6. Choose Import emails from my other account (POP3) → click Next.

  7. Fill in your account details:

    • Username: Your full email address (info@yourdomain.com)

    • Password: The password for your email account

    • POP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (or the mail server name provided by your hosting provider)

    • Port: 995 (with SSL) or 110 (without SSL)

    • ✅ Select Always use a secure connection (SSL) if available

    • (Optional) Check Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server if you want a copy stored on the server as well.

  8. Click Add Account to finish.

Step 2: Enable “Send Mail As” in Gmail (to Send from Your Domain Email)

  1. After completing Step 1, Gmail will ask: “Would you also like to be able to send mail as info@yourdomain.com?” → Select Yes.

    • If you skipped, you can add it later under: Settings → Accounts and Import → Send mail as → Add another email address.

  2. Enter your name and your domain email address.

  3. Keep Treat as an alias checked → click Next Step.

  4. Enter the SMTP server details:

    • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com

    • Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)

    • Username: Your full email address (info@yourdomain.com)

    • Password: Your email account password

  5. Choose Secured connection using SSL (recommended) or TLS if available.

  6. Click Add Account.

  7. Gmail will send a verification code to your domain email.

    • Since POP3 is already set up, the verification email should appear in your Gmail inbox.

    • Enter the code in Gmail to confirm.

✅ You’re All Set!

  • You can now receive all domain emails directly in Gmail.

  • When composing a new message, you can select From → info@yourdomain.com so recipients see your domain email instead of your Gmail address.

  • domain email, gmail, send as, pop3
